POLICE INVESTIGATING COLLISION INVOLVING TWO SCHOOL BUSES Driver Charged

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver in relation to a collision involving two school buses at the intersection of Littlewood Drive and Carriage Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.

On February 3, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m. a school bus was travelling westbound on Littlewood Drive and a second bus was travelling northbound on Carriage Road when they collided. The westbound bus continued in a westerly direction where it ended up on its side in the south ditch just west of the intersection. There was one 18 year old female student on board the westbound bus when the collision occurred. The driver of that vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution.

As a result of the investigation, the driver of the westbound bus, Micheal GUINDON, age 46 of London, ON has been charged with disobey stop sign – fail to stop, under the Highway Traffic Act.

The intersection was closed for about an hour as police cleared the vehicles from the scene but has since re-opened.
