(ARMOUR TWP, ON) Police are investigating a collision involving a train and a motor vehicle. On Saturday October 12, 2013 at approximately 4:25a.m, a vehicle slid off the road into the ditch and was stuck on the gravel next to the tracks. The train struck the back left corner of the jeep.
The only occupant, the driver of the vehicle was not injured however police detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage and subsequently arrested the driver.
The driver, Carson CASS (26) of Huntsville Ontario was charged with care or control of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody and is to appear in Sundridge Court on Tuesday 26 November, 2013.
