(STRONG TWP, ON) On Monday October 14, 2013 at approximately 12:30p.m the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment assisted the Parry Sound Emergency Service with an industrial accident. The incident took place on Parkes Lane, Strong Township.
The investigation revealed that the victim was logging trees about 1 kilometer off Parkes lane when a tree uprooted and came down landing on the loggers head. The logger was wearing his helmet at the time and was air lifted to Sudbury by air ambulance. The logger, Bart KNOX (28) of Huntsville Ontario is reported to be in stable condition.
Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
