Police Investigate After Garbage Bins Set On Fire

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an incident at a Nelson Street West, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at approximately 11:29 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner after they noticed that their garbage and bins had been set on fire.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that the homeowner had placed their garbage at curbside the night before and upon exiting their residence they observed that the garbage and bins had been completely destroyed by fire.

The homeowner also reported that unknowns entered a shed located on their property however nothing appears to have been taken.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
