(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment were contacted by a concerned homeowner after noticing a suspicious person at a Howard Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Thursday, November 13, 2014 at approximately 10:36 a.m., a homeowner received a knock at their door by an unknown male stating that he was in the neighbourhood completing odd jobs.
The male then began to ask if the homeowner lived alone or had any dogs in the residence. The male then left only to return a short time later asking to borrow the homeowner’s lawnmower in order to cut neighbouring lawns.
No information or property was provided to this unknown individual and police are reminding all Norfolk County residents to be aware of their personal safety at all times when an unknown person arrives at your residence.
The male is being described as white, approximately 30 years of age, 5’10, thin build, short dark brown hair, beard, bad teeth, wearing a baseball cap, brown or grey jacket and sweat pants.
The OPP want to remind all Norfolk County residents that if they observed anyone suspicious in or around their property or your neighbour’s property to contact the police immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
