Plane Crashes In Corn Field

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) –On September 5, 2015 at approximately 9:47 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended Sideroad 15, Centre Wellington Township for an incident involving an aircraft that crashed in a private field.

64-year-old Arnold OSOSKI from Centre Wellington Township was the lone occupant operating an Ultralight Quicksilver dual seat aircraft and was attempting to take-off from a private grass strip. During the course of the take-off, the pilot lost control of the aircraft and crashed into a corn field adjacent to the strip. The pilot sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Transport Canada and the Transportation Safety Board were notified of the incident.
