Pickup Truck Stolen & Recovered

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) In the early hours of Monday morning January 02, 2012 Perth County OPP officers were called to a rural residence on Perth Line 26 west of Perth Road 112 (South of Stratford) where a pickup truck had been stolen.

Investigation revealed that sometime during the night, between January 1st and the morning of the 2nd, someone drove away with the victim’s GMC pickup truck. The truck was unlocked and the keys had been left inside. The owner also reported that a wallet with a small amount of cash had been left in the truck.

Police patrolled the local area and further broadcasts were made. At 5 a.m. on Monday January 2nd, the vehicle was found abandoned and undamaged along Hwy 402 south of Forest by the Lambton OPP.

The Perth County OPP is urging the public to “Lock it” and if anyone has information about this stolen/recovered truck to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
