Pickup Truck Rolls Numerous Times – One Sent To Hospital

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Saturday March 21, 2015, shortly after 2:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision along Perth Line 26 just west of the Perth Road 113 (Embro Road).

Investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was driving east bound in the eastbound lane when it left the paved portion of the roadway, and contacted the south gravel shoulder. This resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle and entering into the south ditch area where it rolled numerous times.

The lone male occupant / driver, Andrew MAZUREK (54) from Kitchener, was assisted at the scene by Township of Perth East Fire Department personnel and Perth County EMS workers. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. He has been charged with “careless driving”, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. The Silverado pickup truck was demolished as a result of the crash.

Road and environmental conditions were ideal at the time of the collision.
