(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Thursday, January 22, 2015 at approximately 8:17 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision between a pick-up truck and a school bus on Hwy. 6 and Minto Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The school bus was stopped facing south on Hwy. 6 with its lights and stop arm activated when a southbound 1998 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck collided with the back end of the bus. There were 26 students on board at the time of the collision. A 17 year old female passenger was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been released.
The pick-up truck was heavily damaged and the driver sustained a minor injury.
Steven E. BROWN, 54, of the Township of Georgian Bluffs, was charged with Careless Driving.
The Inter-Township Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) assisted.
