Pickup Truck And Deceased Male Removed From Kincardine Harbour

(LAKE HURON, ON) – On January 2, 2016 at 9:03 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that a pick-up truck entered the waters of Lake Huron from the north pier at the Kincardine Harbour. Officers attended the scene with members of the Municipality of Kincardine fire department and located the pick-up truck in the water.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2016, the truck was removed from the water. One male occupant was found inside and pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and Office of the Coroner.
