Photo Released Of Police Officer’s Injury And Weapon Used

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On December 1, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Highway 6 between 2nd and 4th Line, Centre Wellington Township in a fully marked police vehicle. He pulled over to the shoulder and activated the rear flashing lights. While exiting the vehicle, he was struck in the face with a snow scraper. The officer was treated at the hospital with minor facial injuries and released. Police located a black plastic snow scraper at the scene. There are no descriptors of the vehicle or suspect at this time.
