(EAR FALLS, ON) –On October 28th , 2015 at 12:36 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Red Lake Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 105 and Schreiners Road.
After arriving on scene officers found the driver to be impaired. The officers attended the Red Lake Hospital with the male driver where he provided breath samples.
Peter INKILA, Age 53, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
INKILA is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on November 26, 2015, to answer to the charges.
The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others. If you are planning to consume alcohol then plan to have a sober person drive you home. The public may report an impaired driver by calling the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 911.
