Peter CORBIERE – Fraud & Theft

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – A 61-year-old man from Niagara-on-the-Lake has been arrested and charged with fraud related offences by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) following a lengthy investigation led by members of the Huron County OPP Crime Unit.

In November of 2017, Huron OPP commenced an investigation into an allegation of fraud following a complaint made by a Huron County resident. The subsequent investigation determined the accused used fraud and false pretences to victimize the complainant of several thousand dollars.

On April 30, 2019 Huron County OPP arrested the accused without incident.

Peter CORBIERE, 61 years of age, from Niagara-on-the-Lake is now facing the following criminal charges:

Fraud Over $5,000

Theft Over $5,000

False Pretences – Make False Statement in Writing

He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for May 27, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
