(GODERICH, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, (OPP) Technological Crime Unit and the Huron County OPP Detachment have arrested and charged a North Huron man following a child pornography investigation.
On June17, 2015 police executed three search warrants in Seaforth, Bluevale and North Huron after receiving information that an individual was distributing of child pornography via the internet. As a result of the investigation, two computers and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.
On June 17, 2015, police arrested Michael Charles DINGMAN, 56 years-old of North Huron and charged him with one count of Distribution of Child Pornography, one count of Accessing Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, Ontario today.
The investigation is continuing.
