(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted an investigation after receiving a complaint of inappropriate touching and as a result a massage therapist is facing several charges of sexual assault.
The complainant contacted the OPP after a Craniosacral Therapy session with an unlicensed practitioner. The victim reported inappropriate touching during the session. During the police investigation several other victims reported similar experiences with the therapist. As a result Michael NORRIS 61 of North Algona-Wilberforce Township was arrested and charged with 8 counts of sexual assault. He was released from custody at a bail hearing on a recognizance with conditions.

The OPP is encouraging members of the public to be very aware of their rights when seeking therapy for treatment.
