(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man following an incident of a man exposing himself to a teen at the Splash Wave Pool in Gloucester.
On Friday, March 4, 2016 at about 2:45 pm, the Ottawa Police Service received a report of an adult male exposing himself to a teenage girl in the change room area. An investigation was commenced and it was learned that the male had left the building prior to police arrival.
On Wednesday March 9, 2016, the male returned to the pool and was recognized by staff. Police were called and the male was arrested.
Georges GAREAU, 33 years of age, of Ottawa is charged with one count of Indecent Act in a Public Place and one count of Mischief to Property. He is scheduled to appear in court later today.
GAREAU is described as a tall, skinny white male. SACA investigators are concerned that there could be other victims or witnesses.
