Pervert Alert – Kevin Hopkins – Child Pornography

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Digital Forensics and City of Kawartha Lakes Crime Unit executed a search warrant this morning at an Omemee area residence following a 2 month on-line child pornography investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a computer and a quantity of external media were also seized. Arrested and charged with the following offences is 44 year old Kevin Hopkins of Omemee:

Possession of Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Making Available Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(3) CCC

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.
