(Ottawa) — Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) charged an Ottawa man following an investigation of Child Pornography.
In early 2015 the National Child Exploitation Centre (NCECC) received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an IP address in the Ottawa area had been uploading images of Child Pornography using Google.
Subsequent investigation by ICE revealed that the username associated to the accused had also been making available images and videos of Child Pornography in 2012 and 2013 to an undercover ICE officer using a publicly available peer to peer network.
A search warrant for an address was executed in the 1000 block of Ranchwood Way in the Orleans area. Several computers and external digital media devices were seized and are being forensically analysed.
Glen BOSWELL, 70 years old, of Orleans, has been charged with:
2 x Possession of Child Pornography, contrary to s. 163.1(4) of the CCC
1 x Making Available Child Pornography, contrary to s. 163.1(3) of the CCC
