On March 25, 2015 members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation and Technological Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a Kensington Street home, where the accused resided in a basement apartment. The investigation was a result of an online undercover investigation into the possession and sharing of child pornography files. During the search of the home, computer systems, external storage devices and other articles were seized from the home.
A 49-year-old Guelph male has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available for distribution and accessing child pornography. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
