(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On August 31, 2014 at 2:14am the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred earlier that night at a park in the town of Picton, ON.
The investigation indicates that two girls, in their early teens met with a man in a park and that he had sexually assaulted both girls. Police searched the area locating the suspect.
OPP arrested 29-year old Alexandre LEDUC of Picton, ON. The accused is charged with the following offences:
Aggravated Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 273(2)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. (x2)
Sexual Interference, contrary to Section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada. (x2)
Luring A Child, contrary to Section 172.1 of the Criminal Code of Canada. (x2)
Both victims were treated at hospital.
The accused is in custody for a bail hearing on September 2, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville, ON.
