(TOWN OF PERTH, ON) – Officers from the Crime Unit of Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), supported by East Region Forensic Identification Services Unit (FIS), and Detectives from the Regional Support Team (RST), under the supervision of Detective Inspector Dan Nadeau of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate the homicide of James “Jake” LAVERDURE, 45 years old, of Lanark County.
OPP initially responded to a call from the Last Duel Camp Ground in the Town of Perth at 4:12 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016.
The Detectives will continue to actively pursue the ongoing investigation through the weekend of Saturday, August 13, 2016, and Sunday, August 14, 2016. The officers will be available to meet with anyone who has information about the investigation.
