(WEST PERTH/NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Tuesday March 14, 2017 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of two separate fuel thefts.
The first reported theft of fuel was from a rural property on Perth Road 181 in the Municipality of West Perth. Investigation showed that this theft occurred between 5:00 p.m. Monday March 13, 2017 and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday March 14, 2017. 300 gallons of gasoline and 700 gallons of diesel were taken from fuel storage tanks at this location. Value of this theft is estimated to be $5,798.00.
The second incident involved the theft of 200 liters of fuel from a fuel tank at a business on Tremaine Avenue South in the Municipality of North Perth. This theft is believed to have occurred on Saturday February 25, 2017. The value of this theft is estimated to be $195.00.
