Pembroke Drug Bust – 5 Arrested and Charged

(Renfrew County, Ontario) – On the 19th of November 2014, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Project Paradigm, Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke resulting in the seizure of cannabis marihuana and codeine pills.

5 People were arrested and charged:

Dakota LECLAIRE (21yrs- Pembroke) is charged with of Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana and Possession for thePpurpose of Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (codeine). He was released on a recognizance of bail to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.

Richard MIREAULT (51yrs – Pembroke) is charged with 2 Counts of Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (methamphetamine) and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Schedule II Substance (cannabis marihuana). He currently remains in custody.

Luke DEROUIN (26yrs – Pembroke) is charged with 2 Counts of Failing to Comply with his Probation Order. He currently remains in custody.

Jason POPKIE (44yrs – Pembroke) is charged with 3 Counts of Failing to Comply with his Probation Order. He currently remains in custody.

Benjamin LECLAIRE (18yrs – Pembroke) is charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. He was released on a recognizance of bail to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.
