(ORILLIA, ON.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred in the City of Orillia.
On July 9, 2015 at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Orillia OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of West Street North and Mississaga Street in the City of Orillia. Officers arrived at scene and located a vehicle and a pedestrian that had been involved in the collision.
The female pedestrian from Tay Township, was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the motor vehicle, from Orillia, was not injured.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) attended the scene of the collision, and is currently investigating.
The investigation is continuing, and charges are pending.
