(CALEDON, ON) – On August 12th, 2014 shortly before 10 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Torbram Road south of King Street. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a male and female were walking northbound when the male was struck by a northbound pick-up truck. The driver of the truck fled the scene of the motor vehicle collision. The male victim sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a larger pick-up truck, believed to be a Ford, with orange running lights on top of the cab.
Police wish to remind residents to wear bright or light-coloured clothing or reflective strips when walking in dusk or darkness
