Pedestrian And Cyclist Struck In Two Unrelated Incidents

(BANCROFT, ON) – In the early evening on May 04, 2018 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a pedestrian who was stuck in a business parking lot off of Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.

Officers arrived and located an elderly female who was operating the motor vehicle in the parking lot. The female victim remained to speak with officers who suffered non-life threatening injuries and didn’t need to seek medical attention.

There were no charges as a result of this collision but matters were taken to have the female’s driver’s licence placed under review.

In the afternoon on May 06, 2018 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist and a motor vehicle on Station Street in the Town of Bancroft.

Officers arrived and located a cyclist who suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision. There was minor damage done to the bicycle and the motor vehicle. There were no charged laid as a result of this MVC.
