(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local driver facing three Highway Traffic Act related offences.
An OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed north bound on Highway 35 near Highway 7A. The officer noted that the vehicle was being operated in an aggressive and erratic manner as it passed numerous vehicles. Subsequently the officer stopped the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Paul GLOVER, 25 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with speeding at 137km/h in an 80 km/h zone, with careless driving and with driving with no currently validated permit.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 13, 2015.
