(ESSEX, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver leaving the McDonald’s restaurant on Essex County Road 8 in Essex on December 17, 2015 at approximately 7:50 a.m.
Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle on Dana Drive in Essex travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver was spoken to and exhibited signs of impairment.
He was arrested at the scene.
Police discovered that the male was a disqualified driver under the Criminal Code of Canada from a previous conviction.
Paul CRILLEY, age 37 of Essex, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content and Drive While Disqualified. He will appear in a Windsor court at a later date to answer to the charges.
