(SUDBURY, ON)- On March 15, 2016, at approximately 6:43 p.m., members of the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle that was being operated erratically on Highway 144, north of Cartier.
Police patrolled the area and located the vehicle on Highway 144, south of Cartier. It was determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Sherry PATRIQUIN, 36 years of age, from Sudbury, was arrested and charged with: Adult – Refuse to Provide Sample, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle she was operating was impounded for seven (7) days.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on April 13, 2016, to answer to her charge.
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol or drug consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
