(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver being charged with two Highway Traffic Act (HTA) infractions.
On October 12, 2013 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle which had been travelling at a high rate of speed on Kawartha Lakes Road 24 near Scotch Line Road. Further investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving.
As a result of the investigation Patrick TRUAX, 32 years of age, of Fenelon Township, was charged with speeding and driving while suspended. The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on November 7, 2013.
