(GODERICH, ON) – Two males are facing Break, Enter & Theft charges following arrests made by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on Friday, March 7, 2014. At approximately 9:00 p.m. officers received witness information that a male was inside the seasonally closed Scoops Old Fashioned Ice Cream and Gifts business located on Courthouse Square. Also observed was a second male acting as a lookout.
Police arrived on scene and arrested both males. One of the males was found hiding under a counter inside the store. Incident to arrest officers searched the male and seized a backpack containing stolen property consisting of pizza dough, cheese, pepperoni slices, and chicken wings.
As a result, Patrick KELLY, 22, from Goderich and 23 year old Christopher MACADAM from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh are both facing a charge of Break, Enter – Commit Indictable offence. They both have been released from custody with court appearances scheduled for April 14, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
