Patricia Tennnant – Drunk Driving, 2X Legal Limit

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a woman, who appeared to be intoxicated, about to get into a vehicle and drive on Proton Street, Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate.

An officer, who was in Dundalk at the time, located the woman who had just entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle. After a brief conversation with the woman, the officer determined that the woman had been drinking alcohol and requested she provide a sample of her breath into an approved screening device. The woman failed the test and was subsequently arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle. A part bottle of alcohol was found inside the vehicle.

The woman was transported to the Mount Forest OPP Detachment for breath tests. The test results indicated a blood/alcohol content more than double the legal limit.

Patricia Audrey TENNANT, 61, of Dundalk, is charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle.

She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, November 15, 2012.
