Parking Complaint Turns Into Toy Donation

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – On Monday the 8th of December 2014, an officer with the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a parking complaint on King Street in Alliston. When the officer arrived, he noticed the parking was due to a function at a local church. Instead of issuing parking tickets, the officer warned the drivers while making a mention of the joint Alliston Lions Club and OPP Toy Drive that is currently underway.

The following day the police officer was pleasantly surprised, the drivers appeared on the doorstep of the Nottawasaga OPP detachment with bags of TOYS to donate. Thank you kindly to those who donated, and have helped in making everyone’s Christmas a special one. Keep spreading the goodwill.
