PARE – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM, ON) On Sunday, May 8th, 2016, around 5:45 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver operating a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, eastbound on Highway 401, near Kent Bridge Road.

Police located and stopped the vehicle. Police found the driver had been drinking alcohol.

Mitchell PARE, a 54-year-old male of London, ON, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80 mgs.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 31st, 2016 to answer to the charges.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG CHARGE

On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, around 9:44 p.m., a member of the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment stopped a black Cadillac, on highway 401 near Communication Road for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

Upon further investigation, officers found a quantity of illegal street drugs and currency in the vehicle.

The driver, Gabriela BELISTO, a 21-year-old female from Windsor has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 16th, 2016 to answer to the charge.
