(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On August 8, 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the report of a robbery at the Royal Bank of Canada located on Main Street East in Otterville.
Investigation indicates that an unknown male entered the bank and demanded money. No weapon was seen. The male then fled from the building with an undisclosed amount of money. No one reported injuries at the scene.
The male suspect is described as follows:
Male, white
5 foot 6 inches to 6 feet tall
55 – 65 years old
Heavy set
White beard
Wearing a dark vinyl jacket, white V-neck t-shirt, blue jeans, and clear gloves
The West Region Canine Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), The OPP Forensic Identification Unit and the Oxford Criminal Investigation Unit were called in to assist with the investigation.
