(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On January 30, 2016 at approximately 7:09 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Toronto Street South, Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, after it was observed speeding northbound on Hwy. 10 north of Flesherton.
The driver of the vehicle, a 2001 Volvo, was found to have been drinking alcohol. After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which he failed. The test results indicated that his alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
24-year old Brandon Ryan Gregory LONG of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with impaired – over 80 mgs. He was also issued a Provincial Offence Notice for speeding under the Highway Traffic Act.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on February 25, 2016.
