The London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section continues to make significant impacts on drug dealers by removing significant quantities of illegal drugs from the street and seizing assets related to crime.
Investigators charged three adults after seizing over $170,000 worth of drugs and cash, and a vehicle.
On Thursday, October 10, 2013, members of the London Police Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police and RCMP, executed four search warrants. The warrants were executed at addresses on Princess Avenue, Springbank Drive, High Street, and Richmond Street, all within the city of London.
Cash and Drugs Seized were the following items:
– 785 g of cocaine – $78,500
– 672 g marihuana – $6720
– $85,000 Canadian currency
– A money counter
– 2006 GMC Envoy SUV – $8,000
As a result of the investigation:
26-year-old, Ryan Monteith, was charged with the following offences:
– Two counts of possess schedule I substance for trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
– Possess Schedule II substance for trafficking, contrary section 5(2);
– Resist arrest, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and
– Possess property obtained by crime, contrary to section 354(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
33-year-old, Joseph Stokes, has been charged with possess schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1), of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
23-year-old, Darcy Insley, has been charged with possess property obtained by crime, contrary to section 354(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
