(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving an attempted carjacking from overnight.
On March 12, 2014, at approximately 1:30 am, the victim (age late 30s) arrived home by car and pulled into his laneway, situated along Raymond St. When the victim exited his vehicle, he was approached by three males, who made a demand for his keys. When the victim refused, the suspects attempted to take them by force. The victim was able to fight off the three suspects who fled empty-handed. During the course of the scuffle, suspect # 2 may have lost a tooth. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require additional medical attention.
The suspects are described as follows:
#1-Caucasian male, approx. 18yrs, 5’6 (168 cm), 140lbs (64 kg), clean shaven, thin build, wearing a black toque, baggy dark jacket and baggy pants.
#2-Caucasian male, 18yrs, 5’9(175 cm), 140lbs (64 kg), thin build, spotted acne complexion, noticeable French accent. He was wearing a dark coloured Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat, a dark baggy jacket and baggy jeans. This suspect may now be missing a tooth.
#3-Black male, 18years, possibly of Somali descent, 5’9(175 cm), thin build, black moustache, dark coloured Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap, dark puffy jacket with multi-colors around bottom section, and baggy jeans.
