Ottawa Police seeks assistance in solving a violent robbery

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving the violent robbery of a delivery driver.

On September 21, 2013, at approximately 10:50 pm, a driver was making a pizza delivery on Farrow St. When he turned onto the street, the victim observed a male standing in the middle of the road. Believing that to be the customer, the victim stopped and engaged that person in conversation. As the driver went to retrieve pizzas from the car, a second suspect approached and struck the driver to the head with a hammer. The victim was able to get into his vehicle but was followed by his assailant and was struck several more times as the first suspect made demands for the driver’s money and cell phone. A third suspect became involved and also assaulted the driver with some form of blunt object. The victim was transported to hospital and sustained several injuries for which he was treated and released. An undisclosed quantity of cash, pizzas, a cell phone, and the victim’s wallet were all taken.

The Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the three suspects involved in this violent robbery. While there are no images, the suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Caucasian male, 17-22 years, approx 5’8
