(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a recent bank robbery.
On January 15, 2014, at approximately 4:40 pm, two suspects entered a bank situated along the 1100 block of Wellington Ave. near Parkdale Ave. One suspect kept watch at the doorway while the second approached a bank employee and passed a note making a demand for money. That suspect gestured that he was armed though no weapon was seen. The suspects fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
The suspects are described as follows (images attached):
#1-Black male approximately 5’8â€Â-5’10â€Â(173 – 178 cm), 20-25 years of age, slim build, clean shaven, black, curly hair, wearing a black coat with hood, blue jeans, and sunglasses.
#2-Caucasian male approximately 5’8â€Â-6’0â€Â(173 – 183 cm), 20-25 years of age, slim build, medium length brown hair, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, toque, light coloured pants, and a knapsack slung over his left shoulder.
