(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving two recent robberies in the Meadowlands Drive area that occurred this week.
On October 21, 2013, at approximately 11:00pm, two persons were walking along Meadowlands Drive East, near Debra Avenue, when they noticed a male cross the street and begin to follow them. The male then came up behind them and placed a handgun into one of the victim’s ribcage. A demand was made for wallets, phones and money. Two other males were accompanying the primary suspect. The three men fled with the victims’ phones. There were no injuries.
On October 22, 2013, at approximately 7:25pm, two persons were walking along a pathway off Meadowlands Drive East, near Debra Avenue, when a suspect came up behind them and placed a handgun against the cheek of one of the victims. The suspect made a similar demand for items being carried by the two victims. The suspect fled with the victims’ phones and other items. There were no injuries.
The primary suspect is described as: black male, approximately 20-25 years, 6’2 (188cm)
