(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 128 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions, thefts, assaults and impaired drivers.
On September 17, 2016 at approximately 4:56 a.m., officers from the Orillia OPP were dispatched to a collision on Highway 11 near Menoke Beach Road in Severn Township. When officers arrived on scene they located a single motor vehicle that had struck the guardrail and then a hydro pole. After further investigation the driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene.
Dylan RONDEAU, 20 years old of Severn Township, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia Criminal Court on October 11, 2016.
