(HUNTSVILLE, ON) -Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to warn residents and motorists to be aware of flooding in and around Big East River within in the Town of Huntsville.
Roads that are currently affected include the following:
– River Cove Drive
– Silver Sands Road
– Trailer Park Drive.
The Huntsville OPP is also concerned with the fast rising water in and around the area of Old North Road. Residents living in this area should take precaution and it is strongly recommended that they secure their property.
The Town of Huntsville along with the OPP will continue to monitor the affected areas during the overnight hours.
Town officials will provide updated information in the morning should conditions deteriorate or if other roads become impacted.
