(PLYMPTON WYOMING, ON) On July 25, 2013 just after 9:00 a.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a call about an overdue truck driver. The call was initiated by the truck driver’s employer.
Lambton OPP was acting on information that the truck and driver were late and the driver had not been heard from. As the investigation quickly developed, OPP officers, working with evidence gathered, began a foot patrol search for the male in a wooded area just east of Oil Heritage Road and south of the 402 Highway. The truck had been located in a truck stop parking lot on Oil Heritage road south of the 402 Highway.
Within a short period of time, OPP officers located the body of the missing truck driver, who was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. After a thorough investigation that included a post mortem examination on July 26, 2013, the Lambton OPP is satisfied that foul play is not involved, and there is no risk to the public.
The Lambton OPP has now concluded the investigation and there is no further information.
