(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On February 2, 2014, just after 11:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program when a Dodge vehicle entered and stopped for the officers.
Officers spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. Subsequent OPP investigation resulted in the officers seizing a small amount of suspected marihuana.
The driver, 24 year old Marke NEWMAN from Chatham, has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams.
The driver is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on March 6, 2014, to answer to the charge.
