(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the public’s assistance after police responded to a Talbot Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, December 16, 2013 at approximately 4:00 a.m., a homeowner was exiting their residence when a suspicious vehicle was observed driving slowly past their driveway.
The homeowner subsequently left the area and returned approximately twenty minutes later and observed the same vehicle parked on the roadway blocking their driveway. The resident approached the vehicle at which time the driver of the vehicle began to assault the homeowner.
The driver of the vehicle who is described as a white male, 5’6, stocky build, mustache, heavy build, wearing Tough Duck coveralls, gloves and steel toe boots exited the vehicle along with three other white males, described as late 20’s to early 30’s. The resident was assaulted by all four males however the assault stopped after they observed a vehicle travelling on Maple Street.
All four males fled the area in a 2000 GMC Pick-up truck, extended cab, dark in colour at a high rate of speed.
Police are looking to speak to the driver of the other motor vehicle that was travelling on Maple Street at approximately 4:20 a.m.
The homeowner suffered serious but non- life threatening injuries and was treated at a local area hospital and released.
