OPP SEEKING FAIL TO REMAIN VEHICLE

(Ottawa) The Ontario Provincial Police, Ottawa Detachment is presently investigating a fail to remain collision that occurred on Highway 417 near Bronson Avenue.

On November 14, 2013, at approximately 8:30 pm, a suspect vehicle being driven in a very aggressive and dangerous manner was travelling on Highway 417. As it was approaching another vehicle in the same lane, the other vehicle moved over to let it pass. While passing at a high speed and swerving, the suspect vehicle struck the other vehicle sending it across several lanes striking the right barrier and returning across the lanes and striking the left barrier. The suspect vehicle never stopped for the collision and was observed leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

The occupants of the other vehicle, a 35 year old mother and her 13 year old daughter were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model white Subaru Legacy sedan. The vehicle should have damage to the right front with possible blue paint from the other vehicle. The driver is described as a balding white male in his 40’s.

The collision in under investigation and the OPP is asking anyone who may have any information in relation to this collision or the location of the suspect vehicle to contact the detachment at 613-270-9171.
