OPP SEEKING ASSISTANCE IDENTIFYING MALE

(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Thursday 27 February, members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a suspicious male on the grounds of the Lakefield College School on County Road 29.

On February 27 at approximately 9:30 in the morning staff at the school encountered a male on the grounds asking for directions to an office. Staff at this time noted that the male was acting in a peculiar manner, and they were concerned that he was not entitled to be on the property. The male left the area shortly afterwards on foot heading towards the Village of Lakefield.

Shortly after the male was encountered, staff discovered that a theft had occurred on the property and a quantity of cash and an I-phone had been stolen from an employee’s area.

The male is described as:

Caucasian with a fair completion,

55 years,

5’8” tall

with a heavy build, approximately 185lbs,

short dirty blond hair.

At the time he was wearing:

a black toque

leather coat over a grey hoodie,

work-boots.

The male also had a Swiss Army back-pack.
