OPP SEEKING ASSISTANCE FROM PUBLIC IN LOCATING SUSPICIOUS MALE CLAIMING TO BE A POLICE OFFICER

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a suspicious male after police were called to a Front Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at approximately 8:00 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner after a suspicious male attended their residence claiming to be a police officer.

Through investigation, it has been determined that an unknown male attended the address at approximately 7:30 a.m., claiming to be a police officer. The unknown male indicated to the homeowner that they were at the residence looking for lost property. The male walked around the property and entered an outbuilding prior to leaving in a dark or blue coloured 4 door vehicle.

The male is being described as a white male, 35-40 years of age, medium length brown hair, medium build, clean shaven, wearing blue khaki pants, blue t-shirt and black boots.

The male informed the homeowner that they needed to check other houses in the area in an attempt to locate lost property. Police are looking to speak with anyone that had anyone arrive at their residence claiming to a be a police officer searching for property.
