(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public after police responded to a Victoria Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at approximately 1:00 p.m., police were contacted by a pedestrian that had been struck by a motor vehicle.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a large transport truck was attempting to turn eastbound onto Victoria Street from Norfolk Street South. A red Dodge Caravan that was stopped at the lights heading westbound subsequently reversed to allow the truck to make its turn. As a result, the vehicle struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway resulting in minor injuries.
Police are looking to speak to the male driver of the red Dodge Caravan and is seeking the public’s assistance. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
